Trane warranty registration is quick and easy. Registration can be completed online or by phone. Things you need to prepare in the registration process is trane serial number, trane model number and the installation date of your Trane A/C units.

Trane model numbers and serial numbers are needed to register a new product or look up an existing warranty. Information on locating your product’s serial number can be found here.

Trane heating and air conditioning warranty programs offer years of a “worry-free” protection. It gives you comfort that brings you peace of mind. Trane is very famous for innovative heating and cooling products with industry-leading warranty coverage.

Different Types of Trane Warranties

Trane’s Registered Limited Warranty option is no longer available. Trane’s Base Limited Warranty is now a Limited Warranty since product registration is no longer required. That’s because all Trane units now automatically include the longest available Limited Warranty for that particular product.

BASE LIMITED WARRANTY

Included with every Trane residential unit (some exclusions may apply). Covers manufacturer defects from 1-20 years depending on the product.

Talk to your dealer what the Base Limited Warranty covers for the model you’ve selected and if upgrading it with an Optional Extended Warranty is right for you. Ask your dealer for full warranty information at time of purchase.

REGISTERED LIMITED WARRANTY

One of the strongest manufacturer’s limited warranties on parts available. FREE when you register your product within 60 days of installation.

If the product is not registered within 60 days of installation, Trane’s Base Limited Warranty terms will apply. For complete, detailed information on your specific product’s warranty coverage, visit the product page, or contact your independent Trane dealer.

OPTIONAL EXTENDED WARRANTY

Purchase additional coverage on parts and labor in 5, 10 or 12 year increments.

An extended warranty protects your investment for the long run, and it’s a small price to pay for your peace of mind. Your independent Trane Heating & Air Conditioning Dealer can help you find the extended warranty that best fits your needs

Please note that routine maintenance is required as recommended in the owner’s manual to ensure proper performance of the equipment. Repairs that are required due to lack of routine maintenance are not covered by the Extended Service Agreement.

TRANE WARRANTY TRANSFER

Selling our buying a house? You may be able to transfer an existing warranty. Your reliable Trane system may help you sell your home, with the purchase of a Registered Limited Warranty Transfer Option.

The Registered Limited Warranty transferability option is available for a $59 fee during the initial 60 day Product Registration period. If purchased outside of the Product Registration Period, a $99 fee will apply; however, this option is available up to ninety (90) days following the sale of your home. Transferability restrictions may vary by state.
