The Trane XB90 single-stage gas furnace can achieve an AFUE rating up-to 92 percent. The unit features a four-speed blower motor and a stainless steel secondary heat exchanger, which makes it very durable.
The XB90 is currently available in six upflow models of various capacities and five downflow models. The model is pretty compact because it only has single stage heating. This can be converted from vertical to horizontal so it pretty much fits in every space in your home.

Trane XB90 Warranty
Trane offers a good warranty on the single-stage XB90 gas furnace that includes lifetime limited coverage on the heat exchanger and 5-year coverage on internal functional parts. If the furnace is installed as part of an entire XB HVAC system, the parts warranty increases to 10 years.
Full Warranty Information
- 20-Year Limited Warranty on heat exchangers.
- Five-Year Limited Warranty on internal functional parts.
- If Your XB90 Gas Furnace is installed at the same time as a new Trane XLi Outdoor Condensing Unit it will be covered for 10 years on Internal Functional Parts as part of the Outdoor Unit System.
- Optional Extended Warranties available. Extended warranties cover labor, refrigerant, and other costs not covered by Manufacturer’s Limited Warranty so you are covered for all parts and labor for the lifetime of the warranties.
- Warranties are for residential use.
The unit must be registered within 60 days after the installation to get the warranty features. Extended warranties for Trane xb90 is also available to cover labor costs.

The Trane XB90 Gas Furnaces single stage heating model is a recommended buy because it’s friendly to both the environment and your budget. Very recomended for who live in a rather warm area, so you really didn’t think we would benefit from adding a super-high efficiency gas furnace to you home.
The XB90 is not as efficient as some of any other Trane furnace models but it will still be a great upgrade from older units. It still gets above 90% AFUE which will greatly reduce heating expenses from units that are on the older side. Upgrading to this Trane XB90 unit ensures you have have a warm winter.
